The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office partners with the Madisonville Police Department to form a Vice/Narcotics Unit. This team consists of detectives from both agencies with specialized training in narcotics investigations. The unit handles a wide variety of illegal drug activity from the street level dealer to large scale drug trafficking. The unit’s area of responsibility also includes prostitution and gambling investigations. The unit works closely with local, state, and federal agencies within this jurisdiction as well as surrounding counties.
